50 shades of brown

I’m beginning to think that this one will never end.  I love Tash but I am never doing a sepia toned photo again.

I finally figured out why I am struggling with this one so much on the weekend.  It’s the colour brown.  I don’t like it, I never have.  There is nothing brown in my wardrobe, not even shoes.

Don’t get me wrong.  I know that most things in nature are brown and I love trees and brown bunnies and dogs and all manner of brown elements found in flora and fauna but I am not a brown person.  I find the colour depressing.  It reminds me of the end of winter when everything is dark and dreary and damp and everyone is grumpy and needs to be able to go outside and play without risking hyperthermia.

With this in mind I have strengthened my resolve and I am just going to knuckle down and get it done.  I have given myself a deadline of the first weekend in March to have this finished by so I really am going to get a move on and stitch like greased lightning.

More progress was made yesterday with this resolve than in the entire week prior.

I am going to apologise now as you are just going to get spammed everyone Monday mornings with progress pics of a photo conversion of people you have never met before but I have 2.5 pages to get done and only about 4 weeks to do them in.  The last page took me a month so this may be a forlorn hope but I am going to do my best.

Then I’m going to set fire to the pattern.

Cross Stitcher, knitter, home cook, HVAC specialist, avid movie and TV watcher, reader and mum. I work full time and I'm not very good at sitting still so I love to try all sorts of crafting things from scrap-booking to ceramic work, but mostly I stitch. Heaven & Earth designs would be my favourite. I have had some major health scares in the past few years that I would not of expected to experience for at least another 20 odd years (born in 1971 so am currently only 45). Due to this I have a bucket list and its full of things right from books I must read to adventures I must achieve before I croak. I am always at the gym making myself stronger and healthier to fight my challenges and achieve my goals. Before the challenges I thought there would always be enough time and was just drifting along. You know how it is. Work, chores, kids, sleep, get up tomorrow and start again. I didn't really have any clear goals. I knew I wanted to travel but that was pretty much it. I was gaining weight steadily and didn't do anything much outside of the house and work. Since the challenges I have managed to get almost front row for both the Eagles and Elton John (expensive but you can't take it with you right), have had a day tour Kayaking around a lake and hiked the Tongariro Crossing. None of these would I even have considered 3 years ago. This is only the beginning :D Life is a gift and its what you make of it. You want it then you best be prepared to go get it :D

    1. Thank you 🙂 With a good daylight lamp and supermarket +1 glasses 😀 I have to perch the glasses on the end of my nose so its not something that should be seen in public. I look like a young Granny Clampett when stitching hahaha
